簡單句(句中只有一個謂語動詞)考查時態：

1.以謂語為中心找到主干(比如：主+謂+賓)

She gets up early every morning to catch the early bus.

她每天很早起床，為的是趕早班車。

We have finished our task. 我們已經完成了工作。

2.分析枝干：定語，狀語。

翻譯方法：定語：......的+ 名詞

狀語：位置靈活

A hungry cat from countryside is eating fish. 一只從鄉下來的饑餓的貓在吃魚。

A cat quickly ate fish by the river. 一只貓在河邊很快地吃了魚。

并列句

and(不翻譯)，but(但是), or (否則)

It is a dry season, and everything is easy to catch fire.

天干物燥，小心火燭。

The boy is only ten, but he can do some washing himself.

這個男孩才 10 歲，但是他能自己洗一些東西了。

Let’s take the stone away, or there may be an accident.

(1) 主語從句的翻譯(V/be 前)

A. 較短的主從采用順譯法(即從前往后翻譯)

誰違犯了紀律, 誰就必須受到批評。

B. 較長的主從采用逆譯法(即從后向前翻譯)

Why the housing price is increasing is clear.

清楚的是，房價為什么在上漲。

令我們驚奇的是，他在這么短的時間內完成了作文。

C. 由 it 作形式主語引導的主語從句，翻譯時視情況可以提前，也可以不提前，“it”不譯。

It seemed inconceivable that the pilot survived after the crash.

駕駛員在飛機墜毀之后還活著，這看來是不可想象的。(提前)

It is strange that she should fail to see her own shortcomings.

奇怪的是，她竟然沒有看出自己的缺點。(不提前)

(2) 賓語從句的翻譯(V/介詞后)

A. 采用順譯法(即從前往后翻譯)

我知道他完全夠條件，但我覺得他需要更多的經驗。

B. 用 it 作形式賓語的句子, 翻譯時 that 引起的賓語從句視情況可以提前, 也 可以不提前,“it”不譯。

I take it for granted that we should work hard.

我理所當然地認為，我們應該努力工作。(也可譯為：我認為我們應該努力工作，這是理所當然的。)

I made it clear to them that they must hand in their papers before 10 o’clock in the morning.

(3) 表語從句的翻譯(be 后)

采用順譯法(即從前往后翻譯)

(4) 同位語從句的翻譯(抽象名詞后)

B. 同位語從句提前

He went to the party in spite of the fact that he was not welcome.

盡管他不受歡迎，他還是去參加了聚會。
